This is not really the way that I wanted to spend my birthday but I am in dire need of financial help. On Saturday I logged into my bank account online and to my surprise someone had written a fraudulent check on my account. The first thing that I noticed was that my account was overdrawn. I am very careful about watching the amount of money that I spend since I have a very limited income and have bills due as of today.
I called the bank and they are investigating the matter but it is going to take 5 days before I even find out anything. I also called the bank where the check was cashed and told them about it and they are also investigating the account but they offered no help what so ever in helping me since I was not their customer.
To top everything off our house needs a new roof on it. My daughter's ceiling fell in the other day. I am hoping that insurance will cover most of it but since it is a mobile home I do not know what they will cover.
I really do not know what I am going to do. I get payed on the 10th but it is going to be a very short check since I was out sick for several days helping my oldest daughter move to Colorado and that check will be gone as soon as it is deposited due to the fraudulent check overdrawing my account.
I hate to ask for any certain amount but I would appreciate any amount that anyone can spare as anything will help until I can get this situation cleared up.
I have had an identity theft happen to me before about 7 years ago and I thought that this mess was over but I beleive that it is the same person, as she was using my social security number and my name before. That is the only way that I can think of that someone could get my bank account information. I am going today to file a police report and talk with the bank about it further to see if they will help assist me in the legal process.
This is my only hope. Please if you feel it in your heart to help me I would so greatly appreciate it.
